Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing this website (bodhiadmissions.com) or engaging Bodhi, Inc. ("Bodhi", "we", "us") for college-counseling services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or engage our services.

2. Services

Bodhi provides strategic college-admissions counseling and essay editing through Ivy-graduate counselors. Specific deliverables, session cadence, and term length depend on the package you select (Foundation, Standard, or Elite). Counselors are independent 1099 contractors engaged by Bodhi; Bodhi assigns and supervises them.

3. Engagement Terms

  • Foundation ($3,000): 1-year engagement, juniors only.
  • Standard ($25,000): 3-year engagement, billed in three equal annual installments.
  • Elite ($100,000): By invitation following an interview with the CEO; annual term.

4. Payment

Bodhi invoices manually. Accepted payment methods: check, ACH, wire transfer, and Zelle. We do not store credit-card information and do not auto-debit. Each invoice will specify payee details and the due date. Installments are due as scheduled at the start of each engagement year, or on the schedule specified in your invoice.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time by emailing the CEO. Installments not yet due will not be charged.Installments already paid are non-refundable except as specified under the Bodhi Guarantee (Section 6).

6. The Bodhi Guarantee

For Foundation and Standard students in good standing — completing all coursework, attending all scheduled sessions, and submitting all assigned essays on time — if the student does not receive a single college admission offer for the application cycle they are enrolled in, Bodhi will refund 50% of the package fee paid. The Elite package carries a separate guarantee specified at engagement.

7. Counselor Pairing

Bodhi assigns each student a counselor based on interests, language, and personality fit. Counselors stay with students through admission day. Bodhi does not rotate counselors mid-program except by mutual agreement. If you wish to request a different counselor, email the CEO.

8. Intellectual Property

Bodhi-provided materials (frameworks, application strategies, custom curricula) are licensed for the student's personal use during the engagement. Essay text drafted or edited by the student remains the student's property. Counselors do not write essays for students.

9. Confidentiality & Records

Bodhi handles student information consistent with FERPA principles. We do not sell or share student information with third parties. Counselors and staff sign confidentiality agreements. See our Privacy Policyfor details on data handling.

10. Limitation of Liability

Bodhi makes no guarantee of admission to any specific institution. The Bodhi Guarantee (Section 6) is the sole and exclusive remedy for outcome-related claims. To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Bodhi's aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or the services shall not exceed the fees paid by the engaging family in the preceding twelve months.

11. Eligibility & Acceptance

Bodhi reserves the right to decline or terminate any engagement at its sole discretion. We only accept students we believe will earn an admission offer; if a student materially fails to engage with the program, Bodhi may terminate the engagement (in which case installments not yet due will not be charged).

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of JAMS. Each party bears its own costs and fees.

13. Changes

Bodhi may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active engagements via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
